Delivering value with expert testing
With so many employees spread across so many countries, the Company had issues with data from its core human resources information system (HRIS) being spread across multiple systems. In addition, the company lacked real-time visibility into its global workforce, was saddled with manual management and uploading of its international personnel related data, and suffered from limited compensation tool capabilities.
Address these issues, the Company implemented the cloud-based Workday HCM solution for human capital management.
To overcome the challenges and mitigate the risks of such a large-scale global migration of different regions onto one cloud-based platform, the Company sought experts to provide a managed test and validation service for its Workday HCM implementation.
Workday HCM expertise and Test Automation create results
At the very outset of the engagement, we deployed Workday subject matter expects to understand the Company’s exact requirements and develop a plan that covered all aspects of testing, mitigating any risks associated with such a large-scale global implementation.
The project’s complexity and timescales meant that we had to work closely with the Company’s project teams in both Waterfall and Agile models.
Our approach was based on using Test Automation where possible to save on time, effort, and costs. Using the BA360 automated test design and business assurance Accelerator, our Consultants rapidly developed over 1,000 test cases to cover all functional and integration testing requirements.
These were executed manually by our test team but, at the same time, we started to automate these tests so automated regression testing could be run for each release.
As part of the engagement, we also ensured that the Company’s Workday HCM system could be accessed by multiple devices, operating systems, and browser configurations.
As a result, we eliminated virtually all defects and delivered multiple high-quality releases into the production environment, ensuring that the Company’s Workday HCM solution was ready for use across the business.
